Waldenses - Rejections of the Holy Church in Medieval Europe, 2000, 352 p. -
This book examines the concept of "Waldensianism" from the late 12th century to the Reformation. Waldenses is the name given to diverse groups of religious diddenters since the time of the movement's reputed founder, a rich citizen of Lyon called Valdesius. These people doubted the holiness of the priesthood and questioned its teaching about the destiny of souls after death.
